Database

A table of every entity in the project, with filters, saved queries, inline editing and bulk tools.

Where to find it

In the navigation rail: Database.
The Requirements, Approvals, Assets, Items & I/O and Decisions pages are the Database with a preset query.
Links can carry database?q=<query>, ?class=, ?label= and ?focus=<entityId> (selects that row).

Top bar: Reports…, Matrix (opens the current query in the Traceability Matrix) and + New Entity.
Search: type a query and press Enter; filter terms (class:, label:…) move into the sidebar. The prefix button opens the Advanced Search Editor; × offers Clear Search or Clear All; ? shows the syntax. ⚙ View ▾ holds Hierarchy Mode, Columns & Settings…, entities per page and Reset View.
Sidebar: Filter (ordering, Diagram/Leaf/Orphan/Root/Top/Locked, classes, attribute filters, labels, diagrams, relationships, all with counts), Saved Queries (My Queries in this browser, Project Queries in the project) and Deleted (Restore, Restore All, Empty).
Rows: click a row to show it in the inspector; double-click to open the Entity View. Double-click Number, Name or Description to edit in place. Relationship columns have + to add a relationship.
Bulk bar (check rows): Open, Label ▾, Attributes…, Relationships…, Transform…, Matrix, Duplicate, Lock / Unlock, More ▾ (Find and Replace…, Rollup…, Auto Number…, Clone Hierarchy…, History…, Add to Document…, Reports…), Delete and Deselect.
Reports…: Basic Tabular Output (CSV), Entity Table Report, Entity Definition Report, Entity Relationship Matrix, History Report and Comment Report (XLSX), Hierarchical Report (DOCX), project JSON export, .inno ZIP, ReqIF 1.2 and Print Table. Reports cover the checked rows or the current query.

⇧-click checkboxes to select a range.
Deleted entities keep their id and relationships when restored.
CSV exports put an apostrophe before text that starts with = + - or @, so spreadsheets show it as text.
