Frameworks
DoDAF and UAF products as views of the model.
Produce DoD Architecture Framework 2.02 products and Unified Architecture Framework views from the same model you use for requirements and design. Products are tracked on a root entity and open the matching Holarch view.
What you can do
DoDAF 2.02 catalog
All 57 DoDAF products in one catalog. Click one to create it on a new or existing root.
OV-1 from a whiteboard
Draw the operational concept on a whiteboard with clipart, or import a picture, and link elements to model items.
Architecture description
Name the architecture, state its purpose, choose the products in scope and the decision each one supports.
Check Architecture
Cross-view consistency checks. Each finding links to the entity and the product to fix.
UAF grid
A grid of 15 viewpoints by 12 aspects. Views are diagrams, documents, matrices, the dictionary, Gantt charts or risk burn-downs.
Exports
Export an architecture package as Word, the products as JSON, or a DM2 PES subset as XML (not schema-validated).
Draw the OV-1, linked to the model
- Search the clipart panel for ships, aircraft, satellites, ground stations and military symbols.
- Add arrows, labels and a legend.
- Link each element to an asset, performer or activity.
- The architecture package shows the OV-1 with its title block and a table of linked elements.
How it works
- Create a product. Open Frameworks → DoDAF and click + Create DoDAF Product, then choose the product and its root.
- Choose the representation. For an OV-1, use a whiteboard or import an image.
- Link to the model. Link whiteboard elements or picture hotspots to model items.
- Describe the view. Fill the view information and write the narrative.
- Check and export. Run Check Architecture, then export the architecture package as Word.
