Traceability Matrix

Rows × columns of entities with a mark where a relationship exists. Click a cell to add or remove one.

Where to find it

  • In the navigation rail: Verification → Traceability Matrix.
  • From the Database (Matrix), an entity's Open ▾, a test suite's ⋯ or DoDAF.
  • Address options: matrix?root=<id> (rows = its hierarchy), ?q= or ?rowsq=, ?rows=id,id, ?cols=<classId>, ?colsq=, ?rel=<relationId>, ?artifact=<id>.

Main actions

  • Top bar: Import… (CSV matrix wizard) and Export ▾: Matrix Report (Excel), CSV, Detailed CSV, Importable Matrix (CSV), and Export to a New Artifact… / Export to an Existing Artifact… (a live Matrix artifact that reopens with the same axes).
  • ✦ AI ▾: Traceability Assist (suggest missing links), Suspect Assist (flag doubtful links), Accept all…, Clear Assist. Suggestions are previewed before they change the model.
  • Toolbar: + Column, + Row, Open Y Root ▾, Open X Root ▾, filter, Find (rows or columns), Gaps only, Hide empty columns.
  • Left pane, Filter tab: Left (Y Axis) and Top (X Axis) sources (a root hierarchy, a query, related entities or a class), the relationship type, options (cell mark, cell content, hover indicator, relation to create, hide roots, confirm removal) and the legend. The Comments tab holds comments on the axis roots.
  • Click a row or column header to see it in the inspector; a bar above the grid offers Clear, Hide, Delete from Database and Open ▾. Double-click a header to open it.

Tips

  • ←↑→↓ move between cells; Enter or Space toggles the focused cell.
  • Rows and columns without links are highlighted as gaps.
