Block Definition Diagram

Blocks (Assets) with ports, values, constraints and operations.

Where to find it

• Architecture overview page, Diagrams at the bottom of the rail (+ Create Diagram ▾), an entity's Open ▾, or the type selector in the top bar of any diagram of a suitable root.

Main actions

• Palette: Block, Port, Value, Constraint, Operation, Input Parameter, Return Type. Composition = decomposed by; association = connected by; multiplicities on the ends.
• Toolbar: Levels, View ▾ (ports, values, constraints, operations), Frame ▾, Paths ▾, Delete, Layout ▾. Drag a block into another to nest it.
• ⚙ Show Pictures adds each block's picture.

Tips

• A multiplicity set on a composition line is the Count used by Budgets.
